Community Supported Agriculture

What is CSA ?

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a unique partnership between farmers and consumers sharing agricultural responsibilities to provide healthy food from a healthy environment. Consumers become members by buying a share of the harvest in advance of the growing season. This provides the farmer the working capital to purchase supplies as needed, and guarantees the farmer a market for the produce. In return, the member receives shares in the farm’s bounty, as well as a direct connection to the place where their food is grown and the people who grow it.

How does it work ?

Every week you pick up a box filled with farm fresh fruits and vegetables. The contents vary from week to week and season to season, depending on what’s being harvested. You can count on an interesting selection of vegetables (including our wonderful heirloom tomatoes!), fruits, nuts, herbs, honey, berries, melons, and juice. Recipes are also provided to give you ideas for cooking with the fruits and vegetables.

Each share should be enough produce for 2 avid fruit and vegetable eaters or up to a family of 4.

Membership Shares will begin in June and run through October as needed for a 20 week season. Starting dates are dependent on the weather and crop availability. Thanks for your flexibility!
